Leissigen is an idyllic holiday and fishing village situated on the southern shore of Lake Thun and approximately 8.5 km southwest of Interlaken. It is free of through traffic because of a tunnel by-pass and its bathing area offers lake swimming, peace and beautiful views. There are large grassed areas for sunbathing with shade, a games area for Frisbee, badminton, and other sports, toilets and showers. The site does not have a food outlet and, although the village has hotels, why not self-cater and just enjoy a day of perfect relaxation.
