The northern shore of beautiful Lake Lucerne offers a popular and interesting walk with superb views of the Alps. Starting from Schwanenplatz and going east you will pass the tree-lined Schweizerhofquai, Nationalquai and Spittelerquai with a variety of restaurants (many with open terraces), great views of the lake and places for the hire of various types of boats. Above all, enjoy the mountain views of the Rigi group, the Bürgenstock, Stanserhorn and Pilatus. In the distance the Glarus and Engelberg Alps can also be seen.
