La Maladière football stadium, which replaced the 1924 Stade de la Maladière, was opened on18 April 2007. This 12,500-seater stadium, designed by architects Laurent Geninasca and Bernard Delefortrie, was built at a cost of CHF 200 million. It is open daily to the public for guided visits on request. Visitors are conducted all over the stadium, including viewing the changing-rooms, VIP stands, fire station and sports complex. The tour takes approximately two hours and can be conducted in a variety of languages, including: French, German, English, Swiss-German, Spanish and Italian. Access is possible for wheelchair users.
