Itingen, 4 km southeast of Liestal, is listed as a heritage site of national significance. The Protestant Church and Schloss Ebenrain in Sissach, 2.5 km to the east, are also listed as heritage sites and are worth visiting. Schloss Ebenrain was built in 1774-76 and is considered the most significant late baroque residence in northwest Switzerland. Located on the outskirts of Itingen in rural surroundings, the Itinger Badi is a popular, well maintained, open-air bathing complex with facilities for both swimmers and non-swimmers. Features include a one-metre diving board and grassed sunbathing areas with shade. There are changing cubicles, showers and toilets.
