The romantic and picture postcard village of Iseltwald, located about 10 km northwest of Interlaken on the beautiful Lake Brienz, has inspired many painters and writers. The area offers great walks along the lake and mountain hikes. Sporting attractions include surfing, waterskiing, rowing and fishing and boat trips are available. Iseltwald was historically a fishing village and its restaurants are renowned for their fine fresh fish specialities. For sunbathing enthusiasts, the lido at the end of the village has a grassed area, a kiosk and a children’s paddling pool as well as lake swimming.
