Between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, with a stunning mountain backdrop and bordering on a nature reserve, the Interlaken-Unterseen Golf Course is one of the most beautiful in Switzerland. The course was completed in 1966 and designed by architect Donald Harradine, but was completely updated in the period 2003-2005 under Scottish golf-course architect John Chilver-Stainer. The newly designed championship course, at an altitude of 556metres, is 5,758 metres long and has a par rating of 72. Facilities include a driving range, putting and chipping green, restaurant and pro shop. The protection of fauna and flora is strictly observed.
