The Hörnli Lido celebrated its 40th anniversary in May 2008 with an opening ceremony of its completely refurbished facility; it offers both lake and open-air pool swimming with lifeguards on duty and many other features. The 50-metre main pool is supplemented by a separate diving pool, with 1-metre and 3-metre diving boards/platforms, a non-swimmers’ pool, and a children’s paddling pool, a water slide, a float and grassed sunbathing areas with shade. Other features include two beach volleyball courts, a games area for Frisbee, badminton and other sports, a kiosk, snack bar, restaurant and barbecue area. There are changing cubicles, lockers, toilets and showers.
