Located in the building which was the arsenal of the Canton of Lucerne and was built in the 1560s, the History Museum enables you to experience history through the many thousands of items on display. The museum has several innovative features; you receive a scanner which enables you to read the text from the bar code of each item on display. Then there is the Stockroom, which is closed to the public unless taking part in a Theatre Tour, these take place throughout the day and actors and actresses assume various roles on changing specific themes, to bring history to life.
