Located approximately 8 km south of Lucerne, the Hergiswiler Glass Factory was established in 1817 and is Switzerland’s only glassworks. In the last twenty years, since Robert Niederer took over the business, it has established an international reputation. On the entertaining tour, you can learn about the history of glass, see glassblowers at their work and even try your hand at the art. The factory is situated by Lake Lucerne and there is a factory shop, a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a playground for children, with a large tube slide.
