It takes only eight minutes by funicular from the Interlaken Ost railway station to the attractive Harder Kulm vantage point. There are fine views of Interlaken, the Jungfrau Region and the Bernese Oberland from Thun to Lake Brienz. An added attraction is the Alpine wildlife park near the departure station. There is a 100 seat restaurant at Harder Kulm, with seating for a further 80 on the terrace, and on Sundays in season a hearty Swiss buffet breakfast is served. Since 2005, it is also possible to get married by civil ceremony up there.
