Located on the outskirts of Gelterkindenand, about 11 km east of Liestal, the Hallen und Freibad Gelterkinden is a combined indoor and open-air bathing complex under lifeguard supervision. There are swimmers’ pools (50-metre open-air, 25-metre indoor) and non-swimmers and children’s paddling pools both indoors and open-air. Other features include one-metre to three-metre diving platforms, a children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include a sauna and solarium, a kiosk, barbeque place, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
