Inaugurated in the autumn of 2000, in the vast Villamont museum that previously housed the Museum of Decorative Arts (now the mudac - see separate entry), the Forum d’Architectures has brought architecture to the public eye. The museum documents the history of architecture and its prospects for the future. With an unbiased educational touch, it provides an overview of the interesting offices at work in the Romand landscape and hosts the Object-if festival (views of the city by plastic artists, photographers, video makers and filmmakers from all over the world).
