The Ethnographic Museum of the Muggio Valley in Cabbio displays a series of thematic scenes enabling visitors to discover how things used to be done many years ago. Nevère (ice pits used as natural refrigerators), mills, bird-nets, chestnut ovens, bridges, reservoirs, wetlands, fountains and charcoal pits are all covered in this interesting and informative museum. Permanent exhibitions are run about the nevère at the Youth Hostel in Scudellate. Exhibitions at the museum include photos, ethnographic objects, multimedia displays, sounds and paintings by Ticinese artists.
