Erschmatt is a perfect Valais mountain village. Rye bread has long been a part of the Valais cultural heritage. The Erlebniswelt Roggen demonstrates the making of rye bread, from harvest to plate. On set baking days visitors can make their own rye bread. There is an Erschmatt village and variety garden guided tour. This takes visitors around the perfectly preserved Valais village and gives an insight into its history. The tour takes about two hours.
