The Convento dei Serviti, listed as a protected national monument, was established in the 13th Century as an almshouse and hospital administered by the Humiliated Brotherhood. In the 15th Century it became part of the Servite (Servants of the Virgin) religious order and the hospital was replaced by a school. The 16th and 17th Century arched cloister is decorated with a Renaissance stone altarpiece. The site also houses the Church of San Giovanni and the Oratory of the Madonna delle Grazie, which has a rare lunette attributed to Giovanni da Milano. The Convento dei Serviti is now home to the Museum of Art (see separate entry).
