Cantoni House, home to the Ethnographic Museum (see separate entry), is of great historical and architectural importance in its own right, as well as being one of the outstanding buildings in the Muggio Valley. The Cantonis were architects and stucco decorators, who became famous in Genoa during the 16th Century and held their high position for several generations. The 18th Century mansion is a study in elegance and design, from the decoration of the main façade, to the 18th Century stuccoed mantelpiece and painted ceiling in the main salon.
