The Bolo Museum was established in 2002 in the computer science building at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) by an engineer, Yves Bolognini. He started collecting computers in the early 1990s, and at the start of the new millennium, realized he had accumulated a technological heritage. On brown and orange carpeting, snaking between the windows, ridiculously small screens and outdated keyboards show the route taken by high technology. More than 500 different machines, as well as games consoles, calculators and other peripherals, allow visitors to get an idea of how technology and industrial design have developed over the years.
