The Bellpark Museum is situated in Kriens, about 2.5 km southwest of Lucerne, and is housed in the former Villa Florida, built in 1911 by the hotel architect Emil Vogt (1863–1911). Whilst the main theme of the museum is photography, it is a forum for local history and modern art, on which it is building its own archives. It has exhibitions on surprising subjects, such as the motorway, clubs, huts and barracks, bunkers and mopeds. The museum collects contemporary Swiss drawings and has temporary exhibitions on the current trends in Swiss art and the latest video art. Original and worth visiting.
