The Seebad Alpnachstad is located next to the marina and the air force base, approximately 14 km south of Lucerne. It is on the southwest corner of the Alpachnersee and offers lake bathing with the additional facility of a children’s paddling pool. The Alpachnersee, which leads to Lake Lucerne, is 3.9 km maximum in length by 1.5 km maximum wide and is a popular place for windsurfing. There are grassed areas with shade suitable for sunbathing and picnics, and a children’s playground. Facilities include toilets, a kiosk and there is an adjacent camping site.
