Albinen has been described as simply one of the most beautiful and original mountain villages. As it is situated in the middle of a large hiking and mountain biking region, this is the perfect place to visit if you are interested in either activity. The old and very picturesque village centre has dark larch-wood houses and winding streets paved with natural stone. It is within easy travelling distance of Leukerbad (only 6 km and there is a regular bus service). Its unique location attracts holidaymakers of all kinds, spa-goers and sports enthusiasts. There is a museum in the old mill which is well worth a visit.
