If lake swimming is your only requirement, Badeplatz Aawasseregg, located about 19 km southeast of Lucerne on the lake, offers pleasant swimming without amenities but with free entry. It has a games area for Frisbee, badminton and other sports and grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics. A little further east on the Seestrasse coastal road, on the outskirts of Buochs, the Badeplatz Neuseeland offers the same facilities for lake bathing in Lake Lucerne, also free of charge.
