Located on the River Aare, approximately 6 km south of Olten, the public Schwimmbad Aarburg was the canton’s first when it opened in 1931. It offers open-air bathing under lifeguard supervision and is adjacent to a camping site. The 50-metre swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Features include one-metre and three-metre diving platforms, a waterslide, pool accessories, a children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and a games area for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets, a kiosk and a restaurant.
