The Mechanical Clock at the Hôtel Cornavin is the tallest clock in the world. At a height of just over 30 metres, it was created by Jean Kazès, a Swiss mechanical engineer who has been making pendulums and sculptural clocks in Geneva for over 30 years. The clock features in the Guiness Book of Records. Any visitors to Geneva with an interest in clock-making should make a trip to the Jean Kazès shop and studio, which is situated at 21 Rue St Joseph in the Carouge district.
