The town of Walenstadt is situated at the eastern end of Lake Walen (Walensee) and about 20 km northwest of Bad Ragaz. The local lido offers bathing in this attractive stretch of water, often referred to locally as Lake Walenstadt, which also has marvellous mountain views. Entry is free and other features include a three-metre diving platform, grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and a games area for Frisbee, badminton, etc. Facilities include a snack bar, kiosk, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
