The Yellow House retains its original name, even though now externally white; it has regular exhibitions of architecture, photography, various art forms and cultural artefacts from the collection of the architect Rudolf Olgiati (1910-1995). Olgiati donated his collection to Films, on condition that the Yellow House was preserved and made into a museum. The former greengrocer’s shop and home was converted by his son Valerio Olgiati and its extraordinary architecture, reminiscent of the style of distinguished architect Aldo Rossi (1931-1997), has already received a number of awards. As instructed by the older Olgiati, the building is entirely white and keeps its stone roof.
