The impressive St Paul’s Church (Pauluskirche) was designed by the Swiss architect Karl Coelestin Moser (1860-1936) and built in the period (1898-1901). Moser was also the architect for St Anthony’s Church in the city and the other well known St Paul’s Church in Lucerne. The design of the structure is Neo-Romanic and the decorative artwork is in Art Nouveau style. The relief work over the main entrance is by Carl Burckhardt (1878-1923), the mosaics on the inside of the front wall by Heinrich Altherr (1878-1947) and the stained glass windows by Max Läuger (1878-1947).
