Part of Sankt Laurentius Oberkirch was built in the 9th century and the first time it was mentioned in documentation was 889AD. It has been extended over the centuries in an irregular manner, as is apparent from the unequal window sizes, but is predominately late medieval and the church is famous for its medieval paintings. Other interesting features include the choir windows with their glass mosaics, the 12 register 1967 organ built by Metzler and the baptismal font dating from 1680/81, when the church was extensively renovated.
