Centrally located by the Johanniterbrücke, the historic Rheinbad St. Johann was originally established in 1886 and has swimmers’ and non-swimmers’ pools actually in the River Rhine under lifeguard supervision. The walkways around the pools, which have been recently renovated, offer the opportunity to sunbathe with shade being provided by umbrellas. Facilities include a snack bar, changing cubicles, showers and toilets; clothes boxes can be hired. You can relax and reflect on more than 100 years of bathing in the Rhine at this spot, which started with segregated bathing.
