The Piscine de St-Imier is approximately 28 km west of Biel, located on the outskirts of an historic town, which dates back to the year 600 and was first referred to by name in 884. The pools of this open-air bathing complex are heated by sun and by natural gas and the swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a children’s playground, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis and other sports. Facilities include a restaurant, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
