The Chapel and Hermitage of St Anthony of Padua date back to the 17th Century, although they are believed to have been built on the foundations of a much earlier religious building. Reached via a stunningly beautiful avenue, which is lined with small chapels all the way to the top of the hill, the buildings themselves are reason enough to make the journey, but the interior of the church has some real gems to add even more interest. The internal frescoes describe the life of St Anthony of Padua and have been attributed in part to the artist, Antonio Rinaldi.
