The Swiss Sports Museum conserves the cultural heritage of Swiss sports and, by means of illustrations and displayed items, gives a view of sport and games over three centuries. Focal points are cycling, winter sports, the Olympic Games and national and traditional games in Switzerland, such as Hornussen, a cross between baseball and golf. Played with a puck, it gets its name from the noise made by the puck in flight (‘Hornuss’ being hornet in English). There are also changing exhibitions, so pay a visit if you and your children cannot get enough sport.
