An unusual walking trail goes from Lamboing, located about 14 km southwest of Biel, to the La Bergerie du Haut, Mont Sujet mountain hostel. It is a fairly steep trail which will appeal to all nature lovers, covering about 4.3 km and taking about 1.5 hours. Mont Sujet is 1,382 metres above sea level. The wooden sculptures on the way date from 1996 and were created by students of the Brienz Technical College for Wood Carving. La Bergerie du Haut hostel is open at week-ends from May to October and has dormitories, a dining hall and showers.
