The town of Schönenwerd, located approximately 5.5 km southwest of Aarau, has an indoor swimming pool, the Hallenbad Feld, as well as the open-air Badi Schönenwerd (see separate entry). It has a 25-metre swimmers’ pool, but its facilities are limited to a kiosk, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets. Schönenwerd is home to the Bally Shoe Museum (see separate entry) and the Paul Gugelmann Museum (tel.+41 (0)62 849 65 40) and you might combine a visit to these, with swimming at the indoor or open-air bathing complexes.
