The Local History Museum is housed in the double storey Eggahaus, which was built in 1550 and is one of the oldest houses in Arosa. The façade has a stone plaque bearing two coats of arms and the dates 1545 and 1655. The museum, which opened in 1949, exhibits collections of sports and hunting equipment, spinning wheels, looms, rocks, household utensils, craftsmen’s tools, books and an impressive collection of photographs which show the development of the town. There are also items relating to local fauna and flora, mining and rural living conditions.
