The Schwimmbad Sand is conveniently situated on the southeast outskirts of town and, with its 50-metre open-air swimming pool in pleasant surroundings, is ideal for dedicated swimmers. As the complex has few additional facilities for children it may also suit those looking for a quieter and more peaceful location. There are grassed areas with shade, which are suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and a games area for Frisbee, badminton and other sports. Facilities provided include changing cubicles, showers and toilets. There is a kiosk with a large sun terrace.
