The Church of Saint-Maurice d’Aigle is mentioned in 12th century documents and it is believed that the site was occupied as early as the 6th century. The first sanctuary was smaller than the current one, which is of Gothic style. The building was transformed during the 15th century with Gothic vaults. The bell tower most probably dates from this time. The pulpit is more recent, being installed in 1901, but the stalls are older, from the 16th and 18th centuries. The stained glasses windows were painted by Frederic Rouge (1867-1950) and are typical of the style of 1900-1905.
