Located at Rheinhafen in the northwest of Basel, the Rhine Shipping Exhibition provides a comprehensive overview of the history, development and importance of Swiss shipping, particularly on the Rhine. With models of both modern and historic ships and other means of transport including aircraft, together with a steering simulator, the exhibition will delight all age groups. There is a viewing platform with lift giving a 360° panoramic view of the docks and the city, complete with telescope, a fine restaurant and guided harbour boat tours are available.
