The museum presents an evocative collection of timepieces dating back as far as the early 16th century, demonstrating the artistic and engineering prowess of Geneva’s past and present masters. Modern masterpieces are on display as well as music boxes, pistols and other historic bibelots spread over the museum’s four floors. Watch-lovers flock here from all over the world to see one of the best collections of timepieces in existence. The Antiques Collection contains a wide array of watches from the 16th to 19th centuries, including one worn by the Empress Sissi of Austria.
