The Paper Mill Museum is located in the beautifully restored medieval Stegreif and Gallician paper mills, where the two buildings produced paper for 446 years from 1478-1924. This working museum focuses on the technical and cultural development of paper, writing and printing. You can watch artisans at work on the old machines, using old techniques and even try your hand at making paper and printing on it yourself. The museum has been established here since 1980 and, since 1983, has been used as a rehabilitation centre and for the employment of handicapped people.
