The Strandbad Nidau is located about 3 km southwest of Biel in attractive surroundings and offers both lake swimming in the Bielersee and on-shore open-air bathing. The 50-metre swimmers’ pool is complemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a float, ample grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and a games area for Frisbee, badminton and other sports. Facilities include changing cubicles, toilets and showers and there is a kiosk.
