Opened in 1964 and located about 2 km north of Glarus near the River Linth, the Schwimmbad Netstal is an open-air bathing complex with good facilities. The 50-metre swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a non-swimmers’ pool, a diving bay with 1-metre, 3-metre and 5-metre platforms and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a 62-metre waterslide, a beach volleyball court, grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis and other soprts. Facilities include a restaurant, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
