Designed in 1949 by the well known Charles Kleiber architectural firm, the Piscine Municipale open-air bathing complex is one of the most attractive in the area. Located in Moutier some 13 km south of Delémont, the 50-metre swimmers’ pool varies in width between 13 and 24 metres. It is complemented by a 15-metre non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a 60-metre waterslide, 1-metre and 3-metre diving platforms, a children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include a restaurant, changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
