The town of Moutier, some 13 km south of Delémont, was a former centre of monastic culture, but is now known as a centre of the machine tool industry and for its architectural heritage. Its attractions (in addition to those separately listed) include a local history museum focussing on the development of the machine tool business (Rue Indutstrielle 121), the restored 11th Century Collegiate Church Saint-Germain with frescos of Coghuf and Voirol, the 1965 Hermann Bauer designed Notre-Dame-de-la-Prévôté Church with stained glass windows by Alfred Manessier. In 1996 more than 2,000 dinosaur tracks were discovered in this area.
