The Montebello Museum, which has sections covering history and archaeology, is located in the tower and former residential quarters of the Montebello Castle (see separate entry). The archaeology section exhibits ceramics, glassware, ornamental objects and jewellery in iron and bronze and funeral urns, recovered from excavations, and includes artefacts from around 1400-1500 BC. The history section highlights include an important collection of ceremonial and military arms from the 15th -19th centuries, a 13th century baptismal font, 15th century capitals found in the region and the drawings, sketches and engravings of local and foreign artists.
