Located about 18 km southwest of Delémont, the 18th century water powered Martinet de Corcelles Forge is one of the last of its kind still to be found in Switzerland. It operated until the 1950s and was acquired by the Ankli Foundation and renovated between 1987 and 1993. It made agricultural implements such as axes, scythes, picks, etc. and, it is said by some, was at one stage used to make weapons for Napoleon’s troops. Visitors can now see it in working order again, but check opening and operating times.
