Schloss Liebegg is located in idyllic surroundings some 9.5 km southeast of Aarau, between Gränichen and Teufenthal, and its 16th Century tower is a landmark. The origins of the castle stem from the 11th Century, but what is seen today is mainly from the early 17th and 19th centuries. The castle has been owned by the canton since 1948 and has been restored; it is now available to the public for conferences, meetings, seminars and various festivities. The highlights are the ‘Schloss-Schüür’ function hall and the elegant conference facilities of the ‘Luternauhaus’.
