The Langmatt Museum and the Sidney and Jenny Brown Foundation are housed in the former family villa, built at the beginning of the 20th century and opened to the public in 1990. The collection of Impressionist paintings is one of the most important private collections in Switzerland. Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissaro, Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Pierre Bonnard, Mary Cassat and Vincent Van Gogh are some of the artists featured. The villa, which was designed by Karl Moser, contains original furniture, silver, 18th /19th-century porcelain and other art objects. The gardens were laid out by Otto Froebel.
