The Strandbad Biel is located about 2.5 km southwest of Biel at Nidau. The area has a sandy beach and offers lake swimming in the Bielersee under lifeguard supervision. Features include a float, a diving tower with one-metre, three-metre and five-metre platforms, children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and a games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis and other sports. Facilities include changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets. There is a kiosk and a restaurant. Fitness classes are available.
