Lake Seeli or Seelisbergsee lies northwest of Altdorf and is a small mountain lake, situated high above the Lake of Uri, with a surface area of 0.18 km˛ (44.5 acres). It is an idyllic spot for those seeking lake swimming and peace and quiet. Features include an island float, children’s playground, beach volleyball court and grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics. Facilities provided include changing cubicles, showers, toilets, a barbecue area and kiosk. Umbrellas, loungers and boats can be hired. There is an adjacent camping site
