Using the impressive ‘Stadtsaal’, on the first floor of the delightful Kornhaus building (see separate entry) as its central venue, the Kornhaus Forum stages a programme of exhibitions, symposia, video projections, performances, concerts, readings and other events. It regards itself as an open cultural venue, and this is apparent from its partners who include the Bernese Foundation for Applied Arts and Design, the Bern Architecture Forum and other cultural providers. Design, especially in the field of architecture, town planning, lighting, advertising and photography, is a frequent theme of the forum’s events, but the range of subjects is extremely wide.
